Breakfast on the Go
As most of you know my family and I are participating in a Spending Freeze this month (read more about that here), but just because we can’t spend money on non-essentials items does not mean we have to give up on healthy eating.
Here is a quick lean (on both the wallet and waistline) breakfast chock full of healthy items you already have on hand.
You can experiment with a wide variety of yummy flavors.
1/3 cup of oats (preferably steal cut or thick whole…not instant)
1/3 cup of milk (I used coconut)
1/3 cup of yogurt (I used my son’s organic plain Greek)
1 teaspoon of chia seeds
